Black River Technical College offers a one-semester Welding Certificate of Proficiency and a two-semester Welding Technical Certificate in Pocahontas and Paragould. Credit-program students study arc and MIG welding, welding theory, blueprint reading, position welding, fabrication, and certification work; current program information also identifies TIG instruction and an AWS D1.1 plate-certification graduation requirement. BRTC separately offers an 18-week Pipe Welding Certification Prep workforce program in Paragould, combining daily classroom instruction with five hours of hands-on lab work in Stick, TIG, MIG, Flux-Core, structural, and pipe welding.
