Connecticut State Community College offers credit welding and fabrication education at the Asnuntuck Campus through a 36-credit certificate and a 68-69-credit associate degree, plus noncredit workforce certificates in Stick, MIG and TIG welding at the Naugatuck Valley Waterbury Campus. Credit study combines welding theory and hands-on work in the four major processes with fabrication, automation, metallurgy, codes and certification preparation. Workforce certificates pair basic and advanced process training and culminate in AWS-standard testing; Naugatuck Valley is also a CONNDOT-approved welding test site.
