Delgado Community College offers three 24-credit Certificates of Technical Studies in Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and combined Flux-Cored/Gas Metal Arc Welding. The two-semester pathways combine welding fundamentals, NCCER Core, groove and pipe welding, blueprint and symbol work, and hands-on practice in multiple positions. Delgado also offers a shorter River City workforce course focused on FCAW and GMAW for entry-level manufacturing and construction work.
