North Idaho College offers Welding Technology as a 31-credit Intermediate Technical Certificate, 55-credit Advanced Technical Certificate and 62–64-credit Associate of Applied Science. The stackable curriculum combines theory and applied shop practice in Stick, MIG, flux-core and TIG welding; structural steel and pipe applications; fabrication; and oxyfuel, plasma and air-carbon-arc cutting. Advanced coursework covers AWS and ASME welding test procedures. Welding classes are held at the Parker Technical Education Center in Rathdrum.
