Ocean County Vocational Technical School offers a two-year, 900-hour shared-time Welding Technology program for high school students in Toms River and Jackson, plus a separate 10-month, 900-hour adult evening welding program in Jackson. Both emphasize hands-on welding theory and practice in Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding as well as oxyfuel and plasma-arc cutting. The career-focused curriculum connects students with work-based learning and employment pathways in construction, fabrication, pipeline, ship, aircraft and heavy-equipment work.
