Onondaga Community College offers an in-person, one-year certificate and two-year Associate in Applied Science in Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology. The A.A.S. develops hands-on skills with shielded metal arc, gas metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding while addressing structural, pipefitting and manufacturing applications, material preparation and finished-weld inspection. The certificate provides a shorter foundation in workplace welding and metalworking skills for employment with manufacturers, service companies and other organizations that use welding.
