A hands-on Career Studies Certificate that prepares students for entry-level structural and commercial welding work. Workshop-based training covers Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding, out-of-position welding, plate fit-up and welding, cutting procedures and shop equipment. Students are encouraged to complete AWS qualification tests, including structural plate and tack-welder qualifications and AWS SENSE Level 1.
