Schoolcraft College offers a Welding Fabrication Technology associate degree, a fabrication certificate, and a pre-apprenticeship certificate. Training combines hands-on welding and fabrication with metallurgy and covers MIG, TIG, Stick, oxy-fuel welding and cutting, plasma cutting, resistance welding, and related shop equipment. Welding instruction is based at the Manufacturing & Engineering Center, where Schoolcraft operates an American Welding Society Accredited Test Facility authorized to conduct AWS Certified Welder qualification tests.
