Sinclair Community College offers a 16.5-credit short-term Welding and Metal Joining certificate and a 33.5-credit Welding, Metal Joining, and Fabrication certificate through Computer Aided Manufacturing. Both combine hands-on welding labs with machining, drafting, measurement, and applied mathematics. Available welding study includes MIG, Flux-Core, Stick, and TIG, with related fabrication, brazing, spot welding, sheet-metal forming, and material-weldability work. The longer certificate requires all primary welding-process courses, while the short-term certificate allows students to select one 4.5-credit welding-process course.
