Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College offers four welding credentials ranging from a 15-credit basic certificate to a 65-credit Associate in Applied Science. Current curricula combine classroom instruction with practical work in cutting, Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG, pipe welding, fabrication, metallurgy, symbols and specifications, inspection and testing, and robotic welding. Graduates are prepared for entry-level work in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, quality control, and related metalworking fields.
