This entry-level 760-clock-hour certificate combines classroom instruction with hands-on welding practice for students with little or no prior experience. Training covers shop and site safety, construction math, blueprint reading and welding symbols, metallurgy, layout, hand and power tools, oxy-acetylene cutting and brazing, Stick welding on mild steel, MIG and Flux-Core welding on carbon steel, TIG welding on aluminum and stainless plate and pipe, and carbon-steel pipe welding in 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G positions. Graduates receive an ACI Certificate of Completion and may attempt two AWS welder performance qualification tests.
