Alaska Vocational Technical Center is a state-operated postsecondary workforce-training center in Seward and a division of the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Its 1,110-hour Industrial Welding program combines classroom instruction, lab work, and live-work practice. Students train in structural and pipe welding, multiple arc-welding processes, fabrication, cutting, weld testing, and job-entry skills, with preparation for AWS unlimited-thickness structural certification and ASME Section IX 6G pipe certification.
