Alexandria Technical & Community College's Welding Technology diploma follows a fall, spring, and summer sequence totaling 44 credits. The curriculum covers safety and codes, Stick, MIG including pulsed MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, oxy-acetylene welding and thermal cutting, blueprint reading, metallurgy, applied math, specialization lab work, welding qualification, and an internship. In-house testing is designed to qualify students to the AWS Structural Code under AWS QC-3.
