This 44-credit diploma combines shop training in Stick, MIG, TIG, Flux-Core, and pulsed MIG with oxy-acetylene welding, plasma and fuel-gas cutting, blueprint reading, AWS welding symbols, metallurgy, geometric tolerancing, safety, and codes. The summer term includes a specialization lab, welding qualification, and internship. Three Certified Welding Inspectors conduct in-house qualification testing intended to meet AWS Structural Code requirements under AWS QC-3.
