Area 31 Career Center is a public high-school career and technical education center in Indianapolis. Welding Technology I is a two-semester, three-credit-per-semester program for eligible 11th- and 12th-grade students who have completed Algebra I and English 10. Students build skills in Stick, MIG and TIG welding while studying safety, blueprints, fabrication techniques and welding procedures. The program includes nine Ivy Tech dual credits and offers AWS welding certifications upon successful skills testing.
