Atlantic Technical College offers a 1,050-hour Welding Technology Career Certificate at its Main Campus in Coconut Creek. The approximately 11-month, full-time program combines classroom instruction with practical laboratory work in Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux-Core welding, flame and plasma cutting, fabrication, blueprint reading, layout, joint design, welding symbols, and safety. Current classes run weekdays during the day, and students who demonstrate skill mastery may take an American Welding Society certification examination for an additional fee.
