Bakersfield College's Welding program provides hands-on shop training for work in manufacturing, construction, repair, and related industries. Current awards include an Associate of Science, a Certificate of Achievement, four Job Skills Certificates, and a noncredit Certificate of Completion. Official program material documents oxyacetylene work, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc, and Flux-Cored Arc welding along with cutting, brazing, blueprint reading, layout, safety, and practice on shop equipment. The Panorama campus is the primary location, and the Arvin Educational Center explicitly offers the Welding Certificate of Achievement and Job Skills Certificate pathways.
