The two-year Welding Technology Associate in Applied Science combines welding theory and sequential shop laboratories with thermal cutting, Stick, MIG, TIG, technical drawings, layout, weld testing, codes and standards, and metallurgy. Students select structural, production, or pipe welding coursework for the advanced portion of the program. The structural option includes structural connection fabrication and submerged arc welding; the production option emphasizes shop production techniques and advanced materials; and the pipe option develops Stick and TIG pipe welding in multiple positions.
