Bismarck State College offers on-campus welding study through a 36-credit Program Certificate and a 63-credit Associate in Applied Science. The first-year core develops hands-on skills in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding, cutting, blueprint reading, metallurgy, inspection, and safety. The associate pathway adds summer pipe-welding coursework and general education. Enrollment is limited, programs begin in the fall, and current catalog outcomes include preparation for the AWS Certified Welder test through the advanced Stick curriculum.
