The Welding Technology AAS combines general education with lecture, laboratory, and applied welding work. The current 60-68 credit curriculum requires Stick, TIG, and MIG welding; cutting; blueprint reading; welding certification courses; and a practicum or cooperative experience, with advanced process electives available. BCTC states that a full-time student can complete the associate degree in about two years.
