Bridgerland Technical College provides competency-based welding training at its Logan Main campus. The 30-credit Welding Technology certificate combines hands-on shop safety, print reading, welding symbols, thermal and mechanical cutting, and practice with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on multiple metals. Adult students can attend flexible daytime lab hours, with full-time completion estimated at nine months and part-time completion at twelve months. A separate continuing-education course lets experienced welders work with an instructor toward up to two process-, position-, material-, and code-specific qualifications.
