BridgeValley Community and Technical College offers a stack of Welding Technology credentials ranging from basic and advanced skill sets through a Certificate of Applied Science and an Associate of Applied Science. The program combines classroom work with hands-on welding-shop training in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding, along with hand-torch, plasma, track-torch, and carbon-arc cutting. Students also study equipment and filler-metal selection, heat treatment, safety, weld symbols, and detail drawings for work in construction, manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and related fields. Current official event information places the welding program at Toyota Hall/Advanced Technology Center in South Charleston.
