This one-day beginner workshop provides hands-on practice with Stick, MIG, and TIG welding, along with welding safety, machine setup, basic welds, and equipment use. It is intended for personal enrichment and exploration, requires no prior experience, and does not award or prepare students for certification.

This 60-hour professional-development course prepares students for the American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector examination and inspection/quality-control work. Parts A, B, and C cover fundamentals, visual inspection and a practical workshop, and codebook use; students may enroll in one, two, or all three parts.

California Welding Institute offers selectable eight-week welding modules covering process- and code-specific structural, pipe, pipeline, sheet-metal, aerospace, hygienic tube, automotive, and dry underwater applications. Courses are intensive, hands-on, and generally include 16 classes and 128 training hours, with certification testing eligibility or testing documented for many modules.

This career bundle combines Stick and Flux-Core structural-steel plate welding, Stick pipe welding, and L.A. City written-exam preparation. Students work toward structural and pipe employment and take AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and L.A. City certification tests.

This structural and ironworker pathway combines Stick and Flux-Core plate welding, seismic moment-connection welding, fabrication, and L.A. City written-exam preparation. Students take AWS D1.1 and D1.8 certification tests and the L.A. City written exam.

This process-piping pathway combines uphill Stick pipe welding, a TIG/Stick or TIG/Flux-Core combo course, and pipe layout and fabrication for refinery, chemical-plant, and related pressure-piping work. It culminates in ASME Section IX testing.

This pipeline pathway combines basic and advanced downhill Stick pipeline welding with pipe layout and fabrication for oil, gas, water, and petrochemical pipeline work. It culminates in API 1104 testing.

This TIG-focused aerospace pathway progresses through AWS D9.1 sheet-metal welding and AWS D17.1 aerospace fusion welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Certification tests are included at the end of the component courses.

This TIG pathway combines stainless-steel AWS D9.1 sheet-metal welding with AWS D18.1 stainless tube and pipe welding for hygienic applications in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and related processing facilities. Certification tests are included.

This light-gauge structural pathway covers MIG, self-shielded Flux-Core, and Stick welding on sheet steel for decking, framing, and light-gauge fabrication. Students take AWS D1.3 certification tests.

This motorsports pathway combines MIG and TIG sheet-metal welding with advanced automotive welding on chrome-moly tubing and aluminum. Students take AWS D9.1 and D8.8 certification tests.

This automotive pathway combines MIG and TIG sheet-metal welding with I-CAR automotive welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum for body-shop applications. The bundle includes an AWS D9.1 certification test.

This dry-welding pathway combines Stick underwater dry welding, Stick structural pipe/tubular welding, and advanced TIG pipe welding. It includes AWS D3.6 and D1.1 plus ASME Section IX tests; the school explicitly notes that separate wet-welding training is still required and is not offered.

This one-day lecture course prepares welders for the L.A. City Certified Structural Welder written examination. Instruction covers general welding knowledge, blueprint reading, terminology, inspection procedures, and the AWS D1.1 structural welding code. Optional practical testing is separate and initial licensure testing must use Stick welding.
