Central Carolina Technical College offers two welding certificate pathways at its Main Campus in Sumter. The Welding Certificate develops structural and fabrication skills through inert-gas, electric-arc, oxyacetylene, and plasma-cutting instruction. Qualified structural welders may continue into the Advanced Certificate in Pipe Welding, a three-term sequence covering pipe fitting, Stick and inert-gas pipe welding, TIG, MIG/Flux-Core pipe welding, stainless steel, weld testing, and qualification welding. The Welding Certificate is also published as an Evening College option.
