Central Community College offers hands-on Welding Technology training at its Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses. Students can pursue three one-semester certificates, a diploma completed in up to one year, or a two-year Associate of Applied Science. Official materials document welding and cutting practice, blueprint interpretation, welding codes, robotic welding, and instruction in MIG, TIG and Stick; production-pathway materials also document Flux-Core options. The program is designed for entry into welding, manufacturing and fabrication work and offers opportunities to pursue welding qualifications.
