Central Maine Community College offers a Metal Fabrication Associate in Applied Science at its Auburn campus. The four-semester curriculum combines general education with hands-on MIG and TIG welding, tube welding and forming, stainless-steel sanitary welding and finishing, manual milling and lathe work, sheet-metal design, metallurgy, CNC laser and plasma operation, press-brake forming, tool making, metal casting, and finishing processes. Training prepares students for work as fabricators, welders, fitters, manual machinists, press operators, foundry workers, and tool makers in manufacturing, marine, technical, and small-business settings.
