This 900-clock-hour diploma develops entry-level structural welding skills through extensive shop practice and related classroom instruction. Students train in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG; oxy-fuel, plasma, and air-carbon-arc cutting; welding symbols and drawings; fabrication; metallurgy; safety; and qualification work performed under AWS guidelines. The curriculum uses mild- and medium-carbon steel and includes AWS certification examinations.
