About Central Technology Center (school-wide)

Central Technology Center offers full-time Welding & Fabrication training for adult and high-school students at Drumright and Sapulpa. The Combination Welder curriculum begins with shop safety and thermal cutting, then develops Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG skills on plate and pipe in multiple positions. Students also study drawings, welding symbols, fit-up, metal preparation and heat treatment, practice fabrication through individual and community projects, and may pursue AWS-recognized process credentials.

This full-time career major teaches welding and metal cutting through hands-on projects and structured process practice. Students begin with safety, oxy-fuel, plasma, and air-carbon-arc cutting and then train in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG. Advanced work includes plate and pipe welding in multiple positions, fit-up, welding drawings and symbols, metal preparation, heat treatment, CNC plasma work, fabrication, and employability skills. Students have opportunities to earn AWS-recognized credentials in the cutting and welding processes.
