Chaffey College delivers its noncredit entry-level welding program at the Industrial Technical Learning Center (InTech) in Fontana. The accelerated, hands-on curriculum covers welding and shop safety, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, weld quality, plate and sheet-metal work, and shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding setup and technique. Students practice fillet and groove welds and may earn Cal/OSHA 10 plus as many as two American Welding Society qualifications. Admission begins with a mandatory information session and funding eligibility review.
