Chemeketa Community College offers limited-enrollment welding training at the Salem Campus. Students may pursue a six-term Welding Fabrication AAS, a three-term Welding Certificate of Completion, or an embedded Arc Welding Career Pathway Certificate. Official curriculum information documents advanced arc, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, precision measurement and metallurgy, with classroom, laboratory and cooperative work experience. The AAS and Welding Certificate admit a fall cohort and include an opportunity for AWS plate certification testing after the third term.
