Chipola College offers two Workforce Development Certificate pathways in welding at its Marianna campus. The 1,050-clock-hour Welding Technology program develops entry-level skills in Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, and basic pipe welding. Graduates or experienced welders can continue into the 750-clock-hour Welding Technology - Advanced program for advanced welding, pipe fitting and fabrication, multiple welding positions, metallurgy, blueprints and work to AWS D1.1 standards. Workforce classes combine lecture and lab and generally meet Monday through Thursday during the day.
