Cleveland State Community College offers a Welding Basic Entry Level technical certificate with applied training in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW for plate and pipe work. Students learn equipment operation, oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, safety, industrial print reading, and fillet and groove welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. The current program page places the certificate at the Cleveland main campus, while the college's attendance-options page also identifies it as available through the Monroe County Center and as a weekend-completion option. Workforce Development separately lists short MIG welding skills training for entry-level preparation.
