Clinton Community College, part of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, offers the 16-credit Fundamentals of Welding Certificate at the Clinton Career Advancement Center. The two-term curriculum combines workplace safety and an OSHA 10-hour credential with introductory welding, welding symbols, discontinuities and defects, Flux-Core welding, metal cutting, and MIG welding. Current Clinton schedules place welding lecture, simulation, and hands-on lab sections in the Career Advancement Center across the street from the college's main academic campus.
