Cloud County Community College offers an 18-credit Welding Certificate at its Concordia and Geary County campuses. The curriculum combines technical mathematics, OSHA 10-hour General Industry training, blueprint reading and oxyacetylene, plasma and carbon-arc cutting with dedicated Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG courses. Instruction combines classroom and shop or lab work, develops welds in multiple fillet and groove positions including pipe positions, and is designed to build the skills needed to pursue American Welding Society certifications.
