Clovis Community College offers a full-time occupational Welding program leading to Entry-Level Welder and Advanced Welder Certificates of Completion and an Associate of Applied Science in Welding. The AWS SENSE-aligned curriculum combines safety, blueprint and symbol reading, thermal cutting, inspection and testing, metallurgy, Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding, pipe welding and layout, structural fabrication, and welder qualification. Students complete the 48-credit occupational sequence over three semesters in weekday morning classes; the AAS adds 15 credits of general education. Students who meet the program's grade requirements can earn AWS entry-level and advanced certificates.
