Community College of Rhode Island provides welding training through two different workforce formats. Its online Welder Technician offerings are flexible, self-paced noncredit courses delivered with ed2go and cover welding safety, fabrication, MIG, TIG, and Stick fundamentals through interactive instruction and virtual labs. CCRI also launched a 420-hour, 14-week in-person workforce welding program with Senesco Marine and Polaris MEP. That program combines classroom and shop training in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding, blueprint reading, metallurgy, inspection, OSHA 10, and AWS D1.1 performance qualification testing for eligible accepted students.
