Danville Community College

Danville Community College offers three stackable credit welding credentials at its Danville campus: a Basic Welding Career Studies Certificate, a Welding Technology certificate and a Welding diploma. The sequence combines shop safety and hands-on practice in Stick, MIG and TIG welding with oxyfuel and plasma cutting, blueprint interpretation, metallurgy, pipe welding, layout and fabrication, robotic welding, aluminum welding, and weld testing and codes. Several courses explicitly incorporate AWS certification work, and each credential is associated with the AWS SENSE certificate in the college's current licensure disclosures.
