A seven-month, 900-clock-hour commercial-diving diploma covering diving physics and medicine, surface-supplied equipment, rigging, offshore and hazardous-material operations, welding and underwater welding, underwater burning, nondestructive testing, hydraulics, salvage, SCUBA, inland work and deep dives. The welding module introduces topside and underwater Stick welding, oxyfuel cutting and exothermic underwater cutting. Students train in open water and complete dives as deep as 165 feet while earning a package of commercial-diving and safety certifications.
