This 30-credit certificate is designed for completion in 12 months and devotes about 83% of instruction to laboratory work. The curriculum progresses through Stick, TIG, MIG and Flux-Core welding, along with oxyfuel and plasma cutting, measurement, welding symbols and blueprints, metallurgy, safety, career preparation, fabrication and welding qualification. Students train toward AWS SENSE Level One and prepare for AWS certification tests, with additional process and position credentials described as attainable.
