Eastern Maine Community College offers a fall-start Pipe Welding certificate and a Welding Technology Associate in Applied Science at its Bangor campus. The 31- to 32-credit certificate concentrates on Stick and Flux-Core welding for structural and pipe applications, blueprint reading, metallurgy and qualification work. Students selected for the 63- to 64-credit associate pathway add MIG and TIG pipe welding, pipe fitting and fabrication, quality assurance and general education. Program outcomes include AWS D1.1 structural and ASME Section IX pipe qualification testing, and the program is an AWS S.E.N.S.E. member.
