Erie 1 BOCES Workforce Development provides short-term adult career training in Western New York. Its current 324-hour Welding Technology program combines shop math and blueprint reading with hands-on Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG welding. Students also study safety, cutting, weld inspection and basic fabrication, and OSHA 10-hour training is included. The full program is offered in daytime and evening formats at the Workforce Development North Campus; its five component courses can also be taken sequentially in the evening.
