Fox Valley Technical College is a public technical college serving northeastern Wisconsin. Its welding and fabrication offerings range from short certificates in GMAW and welding fundamentals to production-welding and metal-fabrication technical diplomas, a 54-credit welding/metal fabrication technician diploma, and a 63-credit industrial welding associate degree. Official curricula document hands-on work in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding, fabrication, robotic arc welding, pipe welding, print reading and welding symbols. Appleton offers all six programs; four shorter credentials are also listed in Oshkosh, where the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center provides 48 welding booths, shop space and a metallurgy lab.
