Front Range Community College offers a 60-credit Welding Technology Associate of Applied Science and nine specialized certificates at its Larimer Campus in Fort Collins. The A.A.S. combines cutting, safety, blueprint reading, fabrication, general education, and hands-on Stick, MIG, TIG, and flux-cored welding. Certificate options range from single-process and fundamentals credentials to comprehensive welding, metal fabrication, creative metalworking, and automated welding and cutting. Current plans range from five to 37 credits and one to three semesters. FRCC states that its welding facility and instructors are certified by the American Welding Society, but credential-level AWS preparation is assessed separately.
