Gadsden State Community College offers Welding Technology at its Ayers Campus in Anniston and East Broad Campus in Gadsden. Current credentials include a 59-credit certificate, a 29-credit short-term certificate, and a 29-credit Pipe and Tube Welding short-term certificate. Training emphasizes safety, blueprint reading, mathematics, classroom instruction, and hands-on laboratory work. Depending on the credential and advisor-approved course selection, students can study Stick, MIG, TIG, flux-cored, pipe and tube welding, fabrication, consumable processes, and robotic welding.
