Gallatin College MSU offers a one-year, 30-credit Certificate of Applied Science in Welding Technology. The two-semester program begins in fall and combines welding theory with extensive practical work in Stick, MIG, TIG, and flux-cored welding in all positions. Students also study shop practices, blueprint reading and welding symbols, metallurgy, structural welding, fabrication, workplace communication, and qualification-test preparation. Graduates are eligible to apply for listing in the AWS National Registry of Welders. Welding classes are delivered at Gallatin College's East Campus and at its North Campus inside Bozeman High School.
