GateWay Community College is a public Maricopa Community College in Phoenix. Its current welding catalog lists five Certificate of Competency pathways ranging from broad fundamentals to GTAW for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, SMAW pipe, precision welding and structural welding. Official curricula document hands-on training in MIG, TIG, Stick and Flux-Core welding, pipe and structural applications, fabrication, blueprint reading, inspection, safety and joint preparation. GateWay identifies Central City as its welding and trade-training location; current 2026 listings show the new 750-hour precision and structural cohorts beginning there in November 2026.
