Gogebic Community College offers a one-year, 32-credit Welding Certificate at its Ironwood main campus. The hands-on, self-paced curriculum covers safety, welding symbols and blueprints, thermal cutting, Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, TIG, fabrication and rigging, metallurgy, weld inspection and testing, and pipe and plate qualification. Students use robotic welding and CNC equipment and work toward stackable pipe and plate welding qualifications.
