Goodwin University offers a 24-credit Welding Technology Certificate that can be completed full time in as few as eight months, with day and evening schedules. The hands-on curriculum covers welding safety, fabrication, blueprint reading and symbols, thermal cutting, Stick, MIG, Flux-Core, and TIG welding. Students train with CNC plasma equipment, virtual-reality welding simulators, industry welding tools, and Bluco tables for pipe alignment. Goodwin offers the same program in East Hartford and at the Harrison Steans Advanced Manufacturing Center on the University of Bridgeport campus.
