This 240-hour accelerated program is approximately 90 percent hands-on shop training. Its core curriculum prepares students for AWS D1.1 structural steel certification plates in GMAW/MIG and SMAW/Stick, with four course levels in each process. Students who complete those plates receive introductory TIG and flux-cored welding exposure. Training also covers safety, blueprint interpretation, work habits and industry exposure. The school states that tuition includes eight industry-standard welder certifications. Students do not need a high school diploma or GED; the school recommends a minimum age of 16 with parental consent.
