HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College offers two credit-bearing welding pathways. The 16-credit Welding diploma provides one-semester, hands-on instruction in Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux-Core welding, thermal cutting, safety and print reading at the Harrisburg and York campuses. The 31-credit Welding Technology certificate is available at Harrisburg and adds pipe welding, fabrication or cooperative work experience, inspection and testing, and more advanced process training. Both programs use on-campus shop instruction and are designed for direct workforce entry, with certificate coursework also eligible to transfer into HACC's Industrial Technology AAS.
