Hagerstown Community College

Hagerstown Community College offers welding through both credit and workforce-training routes at its Robinwood Drive campus. The credit-bearing Welding and Fabrication Letter of Recognition requires three courses in welding, layout and fabrication, and AWS welding certification preparation, with an emphasis on hands-on practice and quality control. The separate noncredit Welding Technology course sequence lets students begin with welding safety and fundamentals, then choose intermediate Stick, MIG or TIG training, fabrication, and an AWS Certification Prep course. Noncredit classes are offered most semesters in the college's equipped welding lab.
